I wanted RH,where the characters show their commitment to the heroine but everyone seems kf be on their own,they are all working towards their agenda and I did not I picked this series up because it had been tagged RH, I am at my RH phase so I went all for it.

Maybe it’s because there is so much freaking detail with every aspect of each court and each character and why certain people can talk to others and how she has to act certain ways with each person.

I think I’ll bow out of the series here. They are all good guys but enough different that there should be one you will like. Please review your cart. Death of a Darklord. It’s a great pity the rest of the book can’t live up to it.

There’s this ex-goddess of Fairyland who decided years ago to come to Hollywood and be a screen goddess in the lakrell world instead. Seriously, what’s not to love? Merry is approached by Maeve Reed, previously known as Conchenn before her exile from the Seelie Court and now a famous Hollywood actress. Hmmm, the worshipping rule continues into this story.

To select a single example, on page 25 we’re clearly told that the penalty for a K.hamklton a member of the Queen’s personal guards who touches — I assume this is a euphemism — any woman other than the Queen is death twilighr torture, yet this is clearly forgotten later on when there is no thought of making it secret from the Queen that our Merry discriminates not one whit against the Raven seconded to her personal entourage.


I can see how Merry is developing stronger feelings for some of them but I still don’t have a clue who she would pick if she had to pick just one. Though we don’t return to the Fairy Court we still get Queen Andais in all her evil glory.

K.bamilton erotic and daring adventures of the sexy red-headed protagonist should draw even more readers into this growing faerie circle. Plus with what happened at the end, there will definitely be some changes. But havoc lies on the horizon: That she chose the Unseelie instead of the Seelie, showing us the more positive side of the Dark versus the negative of the Light.

Now, in the City of Angels, people are dying in mysterious, frightening ways. The Best Books of Now Hamilton returns with an eagerly anticipated sequel, A Caress of Twilightwhich takes detective Meredith NicEssus back into conflict with the supernatural and deadly Unseelie court.

She is not swayed by good or evil but she does what is right and she takes care of her people. I liked the setup of the first book in the series and looked forward to learning more about the world. If in the original the problem was a threat to the entire city, have the sequel be about a threat to catess entire world.

She’s a pretty decent character and the land of Faerie is pretty interesting. Yes, Merry has several men in her life, as she was forced to choose several men in order to conceive a child and inherit the Unseelie throne. Meredith does what she can for Maeve, although she has troubles enough of her own in the conception game.


Maeve asks Merry to perform a fertility rite that will permit her to have a child by her dying human husband. The only problems are getting used to all the descriptions and dealing with the ongoing “discussions” of everything! Hamilton Ballantine, pages, hardback, I have to confess that, the last time I tried to read one of Ms Hamilton’s many novels, I got about halfway through and then threw it across the room.

Then, in her adoptive home, in the City of Angels, people start dying in mysterious, frightening ways. You can hear Anita in her tone and her stance.

Here’s the story so far: She is still alive at the end of this book, but I sense she will play a role in the next one. But when Merry argues with her boys for a chapter over what they are going to do now that they are at Maeve’s house, I can’t see it as anything more than shameless padding. I don’t think they are going away quite yet, and after what happened in this book I’m unsure of what’s going to happen with the men.
