The hereditary influences which Rizal purportedly got from his father and mother deserves scrutiny themselves.

I am not sure what practical purpose would settling the Rizal retraction issue serve. From his Malayan ancestors, Rizal, evidently inherited his love for freedom, his innate desire to travel, and his indomitable courage. Overall, it is useful for those taking the subject on Rizal.
