I can’t say enough and keep wondering why it’s taken me so long to read a Cussler book. As a promise to both Sloane and Moses Ndebele who lent his aid and manpower to regain control of the oil rigs, Juan uses his connections to find the Rove and recover the diamonds aboard. These weapons are sjeleton stolen by the rebels after double-crossing Cabrillo before the Oregon’s crew had the chance to do the same to them. Sadly disappointing but an easy read if all you need is something to pass a long train journey! Clive Cussler has 24 novels on this best-seller list.

There was a problem filtering reviews right now. Cusslee is Cussler at his finest and Cabrillo is my favorite of his characters. What begins as a snake hunt leads Cabrillo onto the trail of a far more lethal quarry—a deranged militant and his followers who plan to unleash the devastating power of nature itself against all who oppose them. Luckily for Sloane, a seemingly dilapidated freighter is in the area, and comes to her aid.

I found Cussler’s brief sidebars on the evolution of hurricanes and the importance of ocean currents and water temperature in their development particularly interesting. To make it worse, with all that testosterone flooding the pages, there not even a glimmer of a sex scene in it.

I couldn’t get into it so ended up skimming through. The adventure and flive reading about the Corporation have made a friend to my reading experience.

It started off quite well with a decent idea of lost diamonds in the desert but as soon as the unbelievably, too-good-to-be-true heroes of the Oregon show up, all credibility went out the window.

Love, Love, Love this group of stories. The story reads from start to finish like a James Bond movie. Skeeleton Cabrillo and the crew of the covert clast ship Oregon have barely escaped a mission on the Congo River when they intercept a mayday from a defenceless boat under fire off the African coast.
