It’s not all bad, though, and several good points are still offered even if some of the content is a little out there. While some of the techniques may be outdates or ineffective, the toug of the book is there. Keep self defense or your offense simple, brutal, and effective. Paperbackpages. If you’re looking for a how-to on individual combatives, there are better places to begin. There are bby techniques from judo, aikido, aikijitsu, w.e.tairbairn, Krav Maga, and armed self-defense that should be integrated to form a complete, modern system of self-defense.

Jim Judy rated it it was amazing Aug 08, Combining all the knowledge thus acquired he developed a system that stopped the Shanghai terrorists in their tracks, demoralised the Nazis, and probably proved a decisive factor in the success of Allied Special forces in World War Two. I came across a reference to Fairbairn in a thriller and ttough interested enough to track him down.
